MARK CLAYMAN, EXECUTIVE PRODUCER OF "THE PURSUIT OF HAPPYNESS,"
WILL KEYNOTE 1ST ANNUAL SAN DIEGO CHRISTIAN FILM FESTIVAL DEC. 27-30, 2010

SAN DIEGO, CA – The San Diego Christian Film Festival is happy to announce that Mark Clayman will be the keynote speaker for the SDCFF Awards Gala, which will be held December 30, 2010, to kick off the festival's inaugural event December 27-30, at San Diego State University.
Clayman was executive producer on the 2006 hit movie, "The Pursuit of Happyness," starring Will Smith.
 
"We're excited and honored to have such an influential and creative industry insider join us as we launch the first San Diego Christian Film Festival," said Richard Bagdazian, executive director of the festival and former president of the San Diego Screenwriters Association. 

"A professional as highly regarded as Mark Clayman will signal not only that we are serious about excellence but also provide encouragement to emerging filmmakers who want to craft quality films that inspire."

Clayman, a partner in Veralux Media (www.veraluxmedia.com), has been a longtime actor, appearing in numerous television shows and commercials, before developing his own slate of projects.

One of his current projects has a tie to the San Diego area. Clayman, along with Ralph Winter (“X-Men" franchise; “Fantastic Four”), is producing the film adaption of Same Kind of Different as Me: A Modern-Day Slave, an International Art Dealer, and the Unlikely Woman Who Bound Them Together, co-written by San Diegan Lynn Vincent. Samuel L. Jackson has signed to star in it.

Mark Clayman lives in Los Angeles with his wife, Marlene, and their two children.

About the San Diego Christian Film Festival (www.sdcff2010.com): The San Diego Christian Film Festival is a new opportunity for young or emerging filmmakers to showcase their work for industry recognition and cash awards. The first annual San Diego Christian Film Festival is still accepting entries for the inaugural event scheduled for Dec. 27-30, 2010, at the Performing Arts Plaza at San Diego State University.
