Dear SDCFF friend:

Hope this finds you well! Here's a quick note with some of the latest San Diego Christian Film Festival developments.

SDCFF organized a dynamite double booth at Spirit West Coast, a Christian music festival held at San Diego's Del Mar Fairgrounds May 28-30, 2010. We were able to let hundreds of people know about our upcoming film festival which will be held Dec. 27-30, 2010 at SDSU!

Another cool development: In mid-May, Richard Bagdazian, Executive Director of SDCFF, announced a fiscal arrangement with the MEDIA ARTS Center San Diego through which supporters may donate to SDCFF, making their gifts tax deductible.

The MEDIA ARTS Center San Diego most recently produced the 15th annual San Diego Latino Film Festival, drawing a record 18,500 people. The festival seeks to provide a forum for the diversity of the San Diego border region through workshops, resources, and monthly film screenings.

Tax deductible donations to SDCFF can be made out to Media Arts Center San Diego and sent to SDCFF, PO Box 26742, San Diego CA 92196-0742.

We're also grateful for our growing relationships with the San Diego Film Commission, ArtsTix, the San Diego Performing Arts League, Hollywood Prayer Network, and Hollywood Connect.

We're excited that the number of film entries submitted to San Diego Christian Film Festival, as of yesterday, reached 78. Top entries: About two dozen U.S. shorts, a dozen U.S. features, and a dozen U.S. documentaries. And we are eager to receive more, so get those entries in!

Last month, Jimmy Dorantes, filmmaker and SDCFF Executive Team member, won at 2010 Spirit Quest Film Festival in Erie, Penn. His documentary, "Katie's Prayer," took second place in the Feature Length Category. Go Jimmy!

We're grateful for your support of the San Diego Christian Film Festival! If you are on Facebook, we'd love for you to become a "fan" of the SDCFF page, and to invite your friends to, also. And you can follow us on Twitter as well!
